If you are somebody who understands the entire spectrum of development, likes responding to challenges, has a higher view of things, and likes making the lives of others easier then this position is for you.
We are looking for a full-time, permanent, full-stack web developer who writes clean, testable code and can iterate fast. We want someone who will be working on the back-end of our applications and front-facing parts, using Javascript (ES6, React, jQuery) and is familiar with Python (Django) or other web-scripting languages like PHP, Ruby, etc. as well as with the tools of the trade. You will be asked to develop high-standard code, which will be used every day by thousands of people around the world, and to have a solution-focused attitude to address everyday challenges.
Basesoft Solutions is a young and informal company with the Head-Office in Amsterdam. We design, implement, deploy and maintain tailor-made software solutions for a wide range of clients. Our expertise lies in the field of Business Intelligence where we seek to find the best user experience to access their data.

What do we require?

  • Good knowledge of front-end development. HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Good knowledge of Python or other web-scripting languages (PHP, Ruby)
  • Basic knowledge of Test-driven development
  • Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, etc.)
  • Know the tools of the trade (Git, Eclipse/IntelliJ/PyCharm, IRC)
  • Live in Amsterdam, or are willing to relocate
  • University/HBO degree or mindset
  • Excellent English communication skills verbally as well as in writing

Significant bonus points will be given to applicants who:

  • Have experience in ES6, React, NodeJS
  • Have strong experience in Python / Java
  • Have experience in Linux (any flavor)
  • Know Django or other MVC frameworks (Symphony, Rails)
  • Have 3+ years of experience in software development
  • Have experience building APIs, web applications, or services
  • Experience in Business Intelligence
